Using Qlik Sense Smart Search

The smart search in Qlik Sense may be a global search using which, we will search data from any sheet in an application. Basically, called Smart Search because it provides the user with many smart ways to look data from the whole data set a Qlik Sense application may contain. Users can just A keyword associated with the info they need to look, and every one the relevant and possible search results appear as a drop-down list. From this list of results, you’ll select one result to form a variety.

The search only reads the input values from the beginning i.e. if you search “Read” then the word “Bread” doesn’t show as a possible result because it doesn’t start an equivalent way. Although, values like ‘Reading’ ‘Reads’ show within the search result because they contain the starting word Read in them.

Once you’ve got all the possible results from the search you create , you’ll select a result to use a variety on the info . This selection reflects on every sheet present therein application. Also, all the visualizations present on the sheets will alter their states into just having the values associated with the selections made. Searching Within Selections

Once you create selections using the smart search, refresh all the info on the sheet and it contains only the values like the selections. we will use the smart search within the selected state also. Where the search occurs within the chosen values only.

In the image given above, the search is being made where three selections within the field Product_line are made. you’ll select another value like we select the primary search result and make another selection box called Product_category.

Searching in Insights

There is an option called Insights on the rightmost top corner of the sheet. Using this feature , you’ll select a field or dimension from the search bar then the software automatically generates insights using the sector values.
