Overview of Gauge Chart in Qlik Sense

We use a gauge chart to display a calculated measure value on a meter gauge or a horizontal meter/bar. usually, we use a gauge chart to see KPI values or other such performance indicators. If you would like to display one metric result sort of a percentage, average, sum etc., you’ll choose a gauge chart because it shows a gauge with minimum and maximum limits. The measure value indicates by a needle in between the minimum and maximum limits.

Creating a Qlik Sense Gauge Chart

In order to make a gauge chart in Qlik Sense, follow the steps given below.
• Open the editor of the sheet within the application during which you would like to make a gauge chart. We open the editor from the Edit option present on the toolbar.
• Select the choice Gauge (from the Assets Panel) and add it to the editing grid at the middle by dragging and dropping.

• Add a measure to be used because the indicator value within the gauge by Add measure option. Then select an aggregation type to be applied on the measure values you chose .

• Set the min and max values such the gauge indicator value falls between this range. Make other required changes like color, titles, scale etc. from the properties panel. Click on Done once you’re proud of your gauge chart and it’ll be displayed on the sheet.

c. Appearance
